Kent “Mr. Truck” Sundling comes back for another episode of ‘Ask Mr.Truck’. This is a segment where we address some of the many questions that we receive on a daily basis at ask@tfltruck.com. We always appreciate the questions that you are sending us, please keep them coming for continued dialog.

The first question has to do with choosing the best midsize pickup truck at around the $40,000 mark for daily driving and occasional off-roading. The question narrowed down the choice to the 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road or a 2016 Chevy Colorado Z71 Duramax.

We love to shamelessly plug our Truck Nuts Book during these episodes. Many of these questions are answered in the book, and we always appreciate your support.

The next question has to do with the TFLtruck Old vs. New comparisons. Why don’t you do more of these? Will you consider using viewer trucks for these episodes. We would love to do more of these, but we will always be very careful in how we pick the “old” trucks. We need to know that these trucks were properly maintained and have unmodified powertrain and suspension.

There is a question about the Ford V10 engine. Will TFLtruck and/or Mr.Truck review the Ford V10? Yes, we would love to review the big V10 engine. The V10 comes back to the 2017 Ford Super Duty in the commercial F-450 and F-550 truck specifications (including the Super Duty chassis cabs). We have not been able to get our hands on one of these yet, but we will pursue it. Naturally, if we come across a fitting older Super Duty or a Ford Excursion with the V10, we will feature it as well.
